I’M(MORTAL) MAN

A god amongst men.

Possibly the ego talking.

Try to convince me of any less, you’re a dead man walking.

Inside my mind is a sailor lost at sea,

There’s a constant duality

A mouse and elephant working in tandem

On the surface, I’m a bland friend.

A man amongst gods, that’s the imposter syndrome in me.

Sometimes it gets lost to me the power that could be.

An unlimited potential that I must foresee.

I’m mortal man, or, immortal man what’s the difference?

One’s a lifetime of pain, the other is pain in a short existence.

Perspective change can do a lot for me.

Shit goes over your head and breaks you up like an apostrophe.

Honestly,

self-deprecation for the majority of my life was the philosophy.

Now I understand that there’s a god in me

Who would’ve thought?

A serial hedonist, discontent lost soul, has found the watering hole

Bountiful knowledge to be had.

I’m glad I’m just at the start

When you finally tap into the present you realize that the game of life is a work of art

The clock keeps ticking and the only thing guaranteed in life is death.

So to my brothers,

lead a life of virtue before it is your last breath.

I’m mortal, man
